Today is the only day you got.

2024.06.29

Good morning that lovely way.

And here we go again.

Is it again or is it new?

Each day is a sunrise sunset, but is it new?

With the same workings of the globe are we ever really something new?

What's the deal with tomorrow?

Why so coy?

He never shows.

Always on the guest list, too.

Today is all we've got.

That's a way to pump yourself up.

That's a self-help slogan.

That's a: 'You only got one life,' way to live.

Today is the only day you got.

Throw out the calendar!

Stamp today on all the days and go!

Go! Go!

What's time got to do with anything at all, other than a sunrise sunset?

We build things.

So, things show up a little changed, rearranged actually.

Nothing changes only rearranges.

So, life then is the rearrangement of all that happens under a sunrise to a sunset to another sunrise, sunset.

And that's that.

Perhaps the light itself rearranges its flow.

Perhaps we are growing, through our manipulations of light.

If light is like the oceans water, then what we are is nothing more than a stirred stirring whirl of sunlight.

It's poetic, at least.

And as I'm a poet, it appears I found myself again.

Which is a good thing to do with a day.

Maybe the only thing.

So on with the day.

Today, of course.

Tomorrow never showed.

Why we keep him on the guest list I'll never know.

I'm sure there's a poem about it.

Perhaps, I'll write one next sunrise, next sunset.
