Good morning that wonderful way.

And again.

Sleep, sleep, sleep perchance to dream.

Der...

Why else shake off the moral coil for a while Shakes?

Dreams and doing dreams, words and doing words.

Absurd or real this is how I feel.

No matter how out there your experience seems it's always from within here so find some way somewhere to share it and please do.

The world needs you.
Why else would you be here?
Mother Nature never wastes her time.

Deal with it.
Do you.
And be happy already.

You're brining everyone else around you down.
At least be happy you have enough power to do that.
And move on.

I started with sleep because there wasn't much of it last night.
Sometimes the day wants to stay awake for no apparent reason.

It's not that the thoughts wouldn't stop spinning.
Not one of those nights.

No, something needed to be worked out night, something crucial that wasn't done that day.

Your body knows it, whatever makes us have to dream knows it, you care about your life and so life says let's work this out.

Only through a self-imposed agreement that you figured it out or complete exhaustion, will you finally fall asleep.

The answers usually some easy revelation, something mundane that has so much meaning for your life.

You'll see it.
Maybe not tomorrow, but some tomorrow.

Such was last night.

Wish I had some point of great interest regarding last night's thought parade to share, but it was everyday stuff.
All about directions, which way to go, which way is near, what's next.
Business best suited for checklists and to do lists.

Onto the next.

...

If you've read much of this blog you know its purpose is to show a certain way of seeing the world.

We don't know what to do with poets.
History has either revered us or shook its head and thought we were a cute waste of time.
During the biblical years they called someone with a poet's perception of life a prophet.
The words even have a common history.

We live in a great time; major advances are taking place with technology. Humanity is at a great risk of losing what's most important to itself due to our new tech.

What a poet is, our way of life, becomes a dire necessity for people to understand if we're to survive, to stop ourselves from coming to the belief that our robots are making us obsolete.

I give daily snapshots, morning thoughts, on the way someone with a poet's point of view looks at life.

My hopes are that you see it as a valid means, and that you see the use in it.

That you recognize the thoughts that do cause you to spin awake all night are actually dreams and dreaming left undone.

That a certain kind of dreaming has to be done while awake, because we are made to create new things and if we don't do that, if we make robots of ourselves too much, our body protests and forces, fights back with medicine to heal us.

We must make new what came of the day.

Efficiency, these days, means getting checklist tasks done, which is not being a healthy human, it's being a healthy robot.

Sleep, for so many, is a matter of six to eight hours on a checklist schedule wasted.

But dreaming is at least as important as breathing.
Why else would we all have to do it?

Good question.

An athlete, a doctor, and a scientist, focus on the importance of breath through physical actions. A poet focuses on the health of dreams through language.

A robot can never dream.
A.I. needs an initial dream, and therefore a dreamer, to do anything at all.

So, we make better, stronger, more wonderful our dreams, then feed them into our creations to wonderful things.

It is a wonderful time to be alive.
Dreams finally come to the forefront of what it means to be alive.
The way poets have always lived, with language to paint new places for new experiences of life.
Old memories are all a machine will ever have.
Making new memories will always be the only task a person can do.

How are your dreams with you?
How do you sleep at night?
How well are your checklists done?
You'll find they all coincide.

Take a day off to dream, your life won't fall apart.
I promise.
It will improve.

Even the lists will get easier to accomplish.

Remember to take a breath, watch what you eat, and dream awake.
Neglect of the last one is why, at times, you can't get to sleep at night.

You've starved yourself for the dreams we make awake.
