Courteousness and Awe

Good morning, The Wonderfell Way,

... to start. O/

Light rain. Robin on the outside light fixture sings a quick melody and flies away.

What's up with you today, persistent reader?

Hopefully good news with better views.

You deserve a good day. Why postpone joy?

Today works. Have a good one.

Ready?

Here we go.

On with our show...

Slow words.

Abe cleans his paws on the loveseat... naked.

Huh?

His bowtie collar is in the laundry.

Strange to call a dog naked when they're not wearing a collar.

People and our quirky expectations.

A patchwork sentence morning is in the air.

Choppy. Listy. Thoughts.

Experience taught me to put down the haphazard lines and to keep putting them down.

Eventually an idea that wants another and another shows.

A rhythm is made. A theme established.

The idea is to commit to writing and keep going.

Sometimes your legs need a little more stretching before you walk comfortably. Sometimes you're just ready to go with out warm-ups.

It's always best to stretch first, though.

Same applies for creative arts, too.

It's what my, "Good morning..." first line and the hello introductions are for: A stretching exercise.

And to be polite, too, of course.

Manners matter at the dinner table, in public, and in Art.

Our audience's comfort level determines their capacity to receive and process our message.

Courteousness also helps the courteous.

It's a about making a safe environment for your work to be shared.

Always a good idea to have your audience's level of comfort in mind while you work.

Your message might be bold, cutting edge, sensational; but how and where it is received and by who, ought to be a consideration.

You must have an audience in mind when you write, when you speak, when you do anything; or you're just talking to yourself.

There's a whole generation plus of us who grew up in awe of technology.

Awe of technology is a common thread in their daily existence.

It helps us talk to each other, share our stories more.

It's the 'awe' bit that concerns me.

I want to make sure we remember that awe, to feel so impressed, so thankful, so excited, about something is a possibility of what we are.

That we're just as impressed with our ability to feel in awe as we are with AI....

That we share the ability to feel awe at all is a great reason for anyone to write anything at all.

Take care, mind your manners, keep your audience in mind and make wonderful this wonderful day.
