Good morning, that wonderful way.

How goes the day?

Mist pretending to be rain here.

The clouds think mist is a pun.

Nobody's missed with mist; all things get wet.

Perhaps some old journal entries on the site today. Years and years of them to peruse.

Which to choose? Those that lend themselves to the best pics.

Best?

Most fun to make, of course.

How are the Archaic Slabs?

Anyone reading them?

Some typos and omitted and redesigned sentences live there.

Not much editing is called for when you've been at it as long as I have.

Abe's a reliable prompt. So's tea instead of coffee. So's the never miss mist. Whatever The Sun is up to up there always works, too.

Old journal entries are the best. A great place to find poems. Rarely the newer ones.

Older entries are long ago potted seeds ready to sprout.

Sometimes it's a matter of rearrangement. Others... no it's always a rearrangement. Some Math. Geometry to get the shape set. Algebra to make the relationship of metaphors equal each other out.

The warm concern for it.

Every mother bird sending her chick out for its first flight sings a poem into the world first.

Just fly, don't try, try makes die.
Just Fly.................Just Fly
Just fly.... Just Fly
Good
Bye.

Wonder how shaping those lines goes on the site. Indents and tabs, counted spacebar clicks, and character counts.

Perhaps one day I'll record, and post, the process of making a poem from old work and/or new.

Most poets wouldn't dream of it. And good for them. It's a kind of holy process, a prayer.

Maybe hire choir, have a whole service.

The response would be part of the poem.

Interesting. Yes, I will at some point do this. A responsive written audience is required first.

It helps writers so much to see another's process. There's no shadow a longtime employee for a month on the job training here.

A journal entry or two, too.

Screen recording works. Watch me loop the lines.

Some ideas to find later when I mine for prompts.

Take care, review your life, find inspiration there, make something new from it, fly don't die, and have your better day.
