Where I’ve Been, Lately

2021-11-23

I’m here on this page, in these pixels; regardless.
Full of breath or a pile of ash.
What remains here -me- here on this page- maybe I’m a text away.
Maybe I’m back to clay.
But here I am - on this page, on this page, the soul lives forever.
Hear - I am - forever on this page.

Not writing you’re someone else-ing.
Someone not on this page - on the stage dramatics got no static only shock and a grave.
But here I am- setting downplays and ways to say my yesterday in your today.
So many ways - drift by days my days rise shine or dull days still here- here on this page.

Life is lonely for one like me.
Here you go, here’s eternity - from a lonely life at sea.
This dream won’t be fed but by all of me.
Young to old here’s me- glyphs and what-ifs on the page.

Dreams are good for what life is for.
Whatever that may be.

The wind carries wishes, wants and scenes of what might be.
Fly away, ephemeral fly away goodbye today.
Get it down, set it down.
Sunup Sundown words that stay.

What power could that lonely star
Have over words on a page?

Tried out living with all and everyone else.
Here’s what I found: Flighty fickle melodies and me wanting down from an unhinged sky.

Here’s a message best I can do: Save some of yourself for after; etch some marks - your remarks, make them last, make them true, best make them you.

Everything and all I’ve done is to you here page.
Time away is time away spent not spent on you, with you, you this me called you.

The words go nowhere, that’s where I’ve been lately, with forever when goodbye happened then.
